Tool
Recaf
Inspect and modify compiled JVM applications with integrated decompilers, bytecode assembly, reference search, mappings and deobfuscation tools. The reviewed 4.0 preview also provides basic read-only Android bytecode inspection.
Requirements and limitations
- Requires JDK 22+ and JavaFX 22+; the recommended launcher downloads compatible JavaFX artifacts. Select a build matching the operating system and CPU.
- The 4.0.0-alpha GitHub release is explicitly a preview despite being listed as a regular release. Its Android support is read-only; do not assume JVM editing features apply to Android.
- MIT-licensed. Provide compiled application inputs; recovered decompiled text is an analysis view, not guaranteed original source.
