Tool
APKEditor
Command-line APK editor built on ARSCLib that decodes an APK's binary resources and DEX into editable JSON, XML or smali and rebuilds a package from them, independent of aapt and aapt2. It also merges split bundles such as XAPK, APKM and APKS, refactors obfuscated resource names, and prints package information.
Requirements and limitations
- Runs as a single executable JAR on a Java runtime; the Gradle build targets Java 8 source and target compatibility, and the README notes large inputs may need an increased -Xmx heap to avoid an OutOfMemoryError.
- Operates on APK files the user supplies; the README documents decoding to XML source for un-obfuscated packages only, and rebuilding a package is distinct from recovering original Java source. Apache-2.0 licensed.
