LSX II Volume Fixer: reconstructing volume behavior
Uses measured USB-volume behavior and a macOS audio proxy to map volume keys to a KEF LSX II’s LAN control. The project reports more even steps while forwarding USB audio; the speaker firmware is unchanged.
Requirements and limitations
- Requires an LSX II connected by USB and on the same LAN, macOS 14+, Xcode Command Line Tools and administrator installation. The author reports testing on macOS 27; only LSX II is tested.
- Builds from source with ad-hoc signing; Windows support is only proposed. MIT source is available.
- The volume curve, latency and audio claims are author-reported, not reproduced here. REA use is unconfirmed; agent-assisted setup instructions do not establish who performed the investigation.
