Tool
hermes-dec
Parse, disassemble and partially decompile React Native Hermes bytecode bundles. Makes HBC headers and instructions inspectable and emits pseudocode for understanding compiled application logic.
Requirements and limitations
- Current package metadata requires Python 3.10+; the application uses the Python standard library. Supply an extracted Hermes HBC bundle, not a plain-text minified JavaScript bundle.
- Decompiler output is not executable JavaScript: loop and conditional structure reconstruction is incomplete. Bytecode compatibility depends on the supported opcode definitions.
- The tool is AGPL-3.0-or-later, distinct from the Hermes VM's license.
