Feishu: an author-reported isolated second app instance

The author reports using Codex and REA analysis to adapt a separate macOS Feishu copy with its own application identity, data directory and single-instance lock. The account describes local signing and separation checks while retaining the original app unchanged.

Requirements and limitations

  • The report targets Feishu 8.1.17 with REA 6.5.0 on the author’s Mac; reported elapsed times and isolation results were not independently reproduced.
  • The modified copy is locally signed and has automatic updates disabled. The article does not publish a redistributable replacement app or original-source reconstruction.
  • The author attributes some architecture tracing directly to Codex and cites prior feishu-clone work; the outcome should not be credited solely to REA.
  • Original hash/signature and process/data separation checks are author-reported. This case does not establish compatibility with later versions, vendor approval or rights to redistribute a patched application.
