Firmware Analysis and Comparison Tool (FACT)
Unpack and analyze firmware through an extensible platform whose web interface and HTTP API make component contents and analysis results searchable and comparable across samples.
Requirements and limitations
- The reviewed installer supports Debian 13 and Ubuntu 22.04/24.04/26.04; Kali support is experimental. The README lists Python 3.10–3.14.
- Minimum documented resources are 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, and about 10 GB for installation, plus storage for unpacked firmware and results.
- The standalone FACT_docker distribution is marked unmaintained; use the documented local or Vagrant setup. Some analysis plugins have separate licenses.
