Tool
edb-debugger
Qt-based graphical debugger for AArch32, x86 and x86-64 programs, inspired by OllyDbg, with Linux as its only officially supported platform. Its interface docks disassembly, register, stack and data views, adds a memory-regions window, process attaching, symbols, an expression syntax and an analysis bar similar to IDA Pro's, and its default plugins include Analyzer, Assembler, BinarySearcher, BreakpointManager, FunctionFinder, HardwareBreakpoints, HeapAnalyzer, OpcodeSearcher, ROPTool and SymbolViewer.

Requirements & limits
- Prerequisites: Linux is the only officially supported platform; FreeBSD, OpenBSD, macOS and Windows ports are underway with varying functionality. Building needs a C++17 GCC or Clang, Qt 5.15+ or 6.8+, Capstone 3.0+ and optionally Graphviz 2.38+, using CMake on a recursive clone so that the submodules are fetched.
- Scope: Release at review: 1.5.0, published 2024-03-22 and the last version to support Linux kernels older than 3.0; new development targets kernel 3.0 and newer and will be released as 2.0.0. The reviewed master commit is dated 2026-10-27.
- License: GPL-2.0 per COPYING.
