SiegeFX: a Dungeon Siege engine reimplementation in alpha

A C#/.NET 10 engine loads Dungeon Siege's original archives, scripts and models, with published alpha builds and an audit/parity ledger. The project also provides SiegeSmith modding tools, while describing remaining fidelity and playthrough risks.

Requirements & limits

  • Prerequisites: Requires an owned Dungeon Siege installation; Windows and Linux builds are linked. Source builds need .NET 10; Linux needs OpenGL 3.3 and internet multiplayer additionally needs OpenSSL 3.
  • Testing evidence: The README calls this alpha software. It reports campaign progression to the final boss since v0.4.0, with Bink movies, interior lighting fidelity and combat balance still open. Not run or reproduced for this catalog.
  • License: Code is GPL-3.0-only; original game assets are not bundled. Multiplayer uses Epic Online Services under separate SDK terms.
