Integration
Rikugan
IDA Pro and Binary Ninja plugin that runs its own agent loop inside the disassembler: a model the user chooses streams its answers and calls more than 60 in-process tools for navigation, decompilation, disassembly, cross-references, strings, types, annotations, scripting and host IL or microcode edits. An orchestrator can map a binary and spawn parallel subagents, findings persist in a RIKUGAN.md file beside the database, and experimental commands apply plain-language patches or, on Binary Ninja, remove control-flow flattening and other obfuscation. README says it was vibecoded with Claude Code.

Requirements & limits
- Prerequisites: README requires IDA Pro 9.0+ with the Hex-Rays decompiler or Binary Ninja in UI mode, and Python 3.10+, while pyproject.toml asks for 3.11+; ida-plugin.json lists IDA 9.0 to 9.2 on Windows, Linux and macOS. Windows also needs the latest Visual C++ 2015–2022 x64 redistributable, and the install scripts are piped from raw GitHub.
- Prerequisites: Needs at least one model provider: Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, MiniMax, Codex, local Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Tool results from the open database go to the chosen provider; profiles limit which data the model may read and which tools it may use.
- Limits: Version 1.4.0 (released 2026-09-25) at review. README says the agent asks permission before running scripts and never executes the target binary; natural-language patching (/modify) and the Binary Ninja /deobfuscation skill are marked experimental.
- Testing evidence: CI runs Ruff format and lint checks, mypy on the core and provider modules, pytest with an IDA mock and a desloppify score-regression gate. The repository publishes no benchmark; a Synacktiv article of 2026-10-13 compared it with another Binary Ninja agent on two CREBench tasks and attributed most of the gap to a prompt difference.
- License: MIT per LICENSE and both plugin manifests; IDA Pro, Hex-Rays, Binary Ninja and model services keep their own licences and terms.
- Attribution: README calls the project a work in progress whose first version was built in a single night, and the repository carries an AGENTS.md developer guide.
