Recorded signal decoding
Run caller-chosen sigrok protocol decoders, such as UART or I2C, over an existing logic-signal recording and keep annotation text with sample ranges. It does not acquire samples or communicate with hardware.
Requirements and limitations
- Caller-supplied sigrok-cli 0.7.2 with libsigrokdecode on Linux, plus util-linux prlimit; macOS and Windows are refused. Listed in the rea-agents 6.5.0 release notes.
- The caller supplies decoder stacks, channel names and settings such as baud rate. Upstream’s fixture is a synthesized 9600-baud UART VCD; other formats, decoders and physical acquisition are not established.
