Decoupling is a Necessity: Transformation-Agnostic Decompiled Code Recovery under Optimization and Obfuscation
ReSource refines decompiled functions affected by compiler optimization and obfuscation. Its stages retrieve guidance from a Semantic Distortion Database, predict a control-flow skeleton, and refine names and formatting. Evaluation measures code similarity and retrieval of the corresponding original function from a source corpus.
Scope and limitations
Function-level similarity and retrieval are proxies; they do not establish compilability, executable equivalence or complete program recovery. Section 5.2 notes missing global context and untested custom obfuscation. The author-linked artifact page describes a simplified dataset and explicitly says the database-construction and control-flow-prediction modules are not yet available.
Why it fits this collection
Adds staged refinement of optimized and obfuscated decompiler output, with explicit limits on what retrieval-based evaluation establishes.
