NotDec: WebAssembly Decompilation With Inter-Procedural Type Recovery
NotDec lifts WebAssembly into SSA-based IR, uses Retypd-derived type constraints and pointer/value distinctions to recover structures, and emits C. Its study separates full interprocedural analysis from a faster intraprocedural variant.
Scope and limitations
The study uses Juliet and five Howard programs at O0/O3. Howard binaries omit actual library linking and cannot be executed, so recompilation does not demonstrate behavioral equivalence. Full analysis timed out on six Howard variants at 24 hours; recompilation results cover successful decompilations. The inspected README also warns about backend syntax errors on complex statements.
Why it fits this collection
Adds a concrete WebAssembly type-recovery and decompilation study with explicit scaling and execution limits.
